Projection of changes in sheep production in the mountains for various scenarios of agricultural policy

The article presents projections of potential changes in sheep production on private farms in the Podhale region (Poland). Conducted analyses show that the least convenient scenario (in view of farm profitability) is total liberalization of agricultural policy and complete abandoning of farm subsidizing. The most convenient scenario is currently implemented agricultural policy. Any changes of agricultural policy involving abandoning of subsidies for farm activities may lead to farm withdrawal from sheep production
