In the first experiment of growing gilts two levels of protein 16.3 (14.5%) and 18.5 (17.0%) and two levels of digestible energy were tested on daily weight gain, feed conversion ratio and carcass quality. The review of results are increased levels of protein and energy in feed growing gilts caused increasing of daily weight gain, higher of meat yield and decreasing of carcass backfat. In the second experiment in nutrition of gilts before first mating were tested two levels of protein from 12 and 15% and quantity of feed from 2.5 and 3.5 kg daily on daily weight gain, increasing of carcass backfat and appear of oestrus. Increasing daily feed intake or energy caused of increasing daily weight gain and carcass backfat in gilts at the moment of the first mating. In the third experiment of the pregnant gilts and sows were tested different quantity of feed 2 and 3.2 kg or energy in the period of three days, in the first month of early gestation on reproduction performance gilts and sows. Increasing quantity of feed in the early gestation caused of increasing litter size in young sows, but not in older sows.
