Due to the fact that research undertaken so far has been aimed at determining economic effects in primary production, this paper is an analysis of basic economic indicators in fruit products production on the sampled object of processing within a three-year period (2005-2007). In drawing up the paper, data from book records were used (production calculations per products unit-kg), as well as operating reports, recipies for processing fruit products etc, data on fruit-processing companies located in the Vojvodina Province (Republic of Serbia). The following products are under review: jam, compotes, fruit juices and fruit spreads. In analysed three-year period, production of fruit products is economic. In the average for the period under review, there is a special emphasis on a positive financial result per product unit (22.97 din/kg), i.e. a high economic level (1.22) in jam production. There is a positive rate of cost-effectiveness in the production of fruit products. In the period under review, a positive rate of cost-effectiveness of the analysed products amounts to 18.46% on average, moving from 11.74% (fruit juice production) to 21.51% (jam production).
