[The effect of leaf stripping and protective measure data on potato seed material]

The aphid composition, number and their flying dynamics in seed potatoes plantings in the Kaluga Region were under study. The main virus carriers there are Aphis abbreviate, Aphis fabae and Aulacorthum solani. The critical threshold of concern appears at the end of 1th – in the middle of 2th decades of July, i.e. 53-57 days after planting. Early leaf stripping in 10-12 days after the critical threshold allows to decrease the infection level in 2-4 times. At leaf stripping when the leaves of the 1 tier begin to die off and no protective measures are hold the infection level increase in 3-4 times depending on variety. The most efficient protective measure is presowing seed treatment by the insectofungicide Prestizh and complex using of Prestizh and double-ply spraying of the vegetative plants by the incesticide Aktara. The effect of the all protective measures goes down at later harvesting times.
