Methods of rational using high-productive rams in reproduction, reducing the influence of stress factors, improving biological full value of ram sperm and increasing in labor productivity at artificial insemination of ewes under mountain free-range rearing. The study involved stud rams bred in Dagestan. A medium to solve sperm with antioxidants, particularly with echinochrome effectively protects sperm cells from cold shock. The conception rate of sheep inseminated with such sperm was 56.5-59.7%. Using a defroster with an aluminum heat carrier in defrosting deeply frozen excludes the risk of overheating the sperm, promotes increasing the mobility of sperm cells by 0.6 points, survivability – by 0.71 h and viability of acrosomes – by 4.8%. It was observed stud rams of Dagestan mountain breed under full-value feeding and normal care conditions manifest sexual activity throughout the year. Frozen-defrosted sperm prepared in summer months is characterized by lower quality. Enriching the daily ration of rams with pumpkin carotene activates sexual reflexes and improves the sperm quality. Deeper introduction of sperm into uterine cervix provides 67-77% of lambing in ewes. The appropriateness of obtaining crosses of native rams and Romanoff rams was observed. These crosses have the best acclimatization ability in the mountainous conditions of Dagestan. New technical solutions have been developed to outrange animals, select blossom ewes, a restraining chair and folding assembly artificial insemination station. They improve the efficiency of sheep insemination, increase the labor performance of personnel, reduce financial and labor costs
