Tao (Arenga westerhoutii Griff.) was non wood forest product and the economic fruit tree of Nan Province, Thailand. It was high potential to planting in agroforestry system, and it needed takes about 15-18 years of age to flowering stage. Tao seedlings were very slowly growth rate. As a result, the study about growth accelerate of Tao seedlings by different formulas of chemical fertilizer application such as 15-15-15, 13-13-21, 46-0-0, and non fertilizer application (control) were studied. The study aimed to find out effect of fertilizer application on growth of Tao seedlings. The objectives of this study were the comparisons on effect of fertilizers application on growth of 2-3 year old of Tao seedlings, and economic analysis on the result of fertilization and non fertilization groups of Tao seedlings. The experiment was conducted during October, 2005- September, 2006, at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Nan Campus. A completely randomized design (CRD), univariate analysis of variance and compared different of means by least significant different (LSD) by software R program version 2.3.1, and economic analysis by CIMMYT (1988) method were used. The results of the study found that effect of fertilization and non fertilization was no statistical different on number of leaves, number of leaves died, and leaves length. But there was significant different on number of leaves increased. On the part of economic analysis was found that non fertilization gained higher net benefit than fertilization group about 2,190 baht per hectare.
