Issues of the significance and history of the crop of wheat, the specific potential of the genus Triticum L., biology, morphological and biological structure of a wheat plant are elucidated in the monography. Кратко изложены Conditions of growth and evelopment, material bases of inheritance and variability of plants are outlined in brief. On the basis of investigations, methods for breeding wheat in the conditions of Steppe and Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are outlined, names of wheat varieties, created by the authors and entered into the state registers of varieties of Ukraine and the Russian Federation, are given. The monography is purposed for specialists, working in the field of breeding and seed production of farm crops, post-graduates and students of biological and agronomic faculties of higher educational establishments and colleges, specialists of agriculture.

Кратко изложены условия роста и развития, материальные основы наследственности и изменчивостирастений. На основании собственных исследований изложены методы селекции пшеницы в условиях Степи и Лесостепи Украины, дано название сортов пшеницы, созданных авторами и внесенных в Государственные реестры сортов Украины и России. Монография предназначена для сотрудников, работающих в области селекции и семеноводства сельскохозяйственных растений, аспирантов и студентов биологических и агрономических факультетов высших и средних учебных заведений, специалистов сельского хозяйства.
