Objective of this research was to investigate the effect of activated carbon on physical and mechanical properties of composites (particleboard) from eucalyptus particle. The composites containing activated carbon (0 percent, 10 percent , 20 percent and 30 percent) were hot compressed. Basic properties of composites (density, moisture content, water absorption, thickness swelling and modulus of rupture) were determined. Increasing activated carbon in composites increased their density. The density of composites affected on water absorption and modulus of rapture. The composites with 30 percent activated carbon had the best properties.
