Objectives of this research are to analyze the production cost and return, production and competitive potential, project appraisal, investment risk and marketing channels of pummelo in the Northern Region. Research areas cover Chiang Rai and Phichit Province. The results show that Thong Dee variety and Khao Tang Gua variety have a production potential and investment worthiness. Ta Koi variety is not worth an investment, and Sheller variety should be recommended for additional in the pummelo orchard. The growers have potentials in pummelo production because this career is secure, self-reliance and has good future. It also has moderate strengths, opportunities and competitiveness. In the marketing part, Phichit is the important supply in the central region market and exports oversea from Nakhon Prathom. In Chaing Rai, most of pummelos are exported. It is recommended that in order to develop pummelo business, proactive strategies should be used, which are using the advantages of basic factors and collaborating among growers in maintaing quality.
