Research on effect of crop residues incorporated into the soils on crop yield and soil fertility in the spring and summer rice winter maize cropping system

Research results showed that, incorporation of crop residues into the soils increased yield of spring rice, summer rice, and winter maize by 4 15 percent and could reduce N, P, K fertilizers by 10-20 percent without yield decrease. At the same time, crop residues incorporated improve soil fertility both chemically and water physically.
