The experimental work was performed in the Scientific-Experimental and Introductory Facility of the Department of Plant Growing at the AU city of Plovdiv in the 20052007 period. The experiment was performed by means of a block method with four replications; experimental field area 25 m2. Six hybrids are investigated two representatives of each of the three groups by FAO. Effect of sowing density by the maturity timing of the group on maize hybrids productivity, cultivated for grain under irrigation were investigated. The results show: the increase of grain yield depends on the effect and interaction of the following factors sowing density and specific genotype reaction of the hybrid. The best results for PR35P12 and PR35Y54 under the experimental conditions were obtained at sowing density 6500 plants/da 1215.5 and 1133.3 kg/da, and for PR37H24 PR37D25 respectively 7140 plants/da 1009.8 and 1025.7 kg/da. The KLARIKA hybrid had the higher grain yield at sowing density 7940 plants/da 986.2, and PR38D89 hybrid 8928 plants/da 1015.7 kg/da. The increase of sowing density leads to decrease of the mass per 1000 grains and test weight of all tested maize hybrids. The mid-late hybrids had the higher content of crude protein at sowing density 5950 plants/da, and for mid early and early respectively 7940 и 7140 plants/da.
