The Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) carries out periodic assessments of sustainability in agriculture and reports its findings in its annual Agricultural Report. The assessments are based on the results of broad-ranging monitoring of the agricultural sector and include its economical, social and ecological dimensions. In the ecological field, from 2009 on, data will be obtained from individual farms in order to differentiate between regional patterns and different types of farms.
