Se usó la matriz de correlación de Pearson para estudiar la interdependencia entre 16 índices medidas en una prueba de balance de materiales en cerdos, según un cuadrado latino 3x3 (18 datos por índice). Los índices digestivos se obtuvieron por el método directo. De las 120 interdependencias examinadas, 50 no fueron significativas (P0.10; 41.7% del total), 13 mostraron tendencia a ser significativas (P0.10; 10.8% del total) y 57 fueron significativas (P0.05 como mínimo; 47.5% del total). En los cinco indicadores de digestibilidad rectal, la digestibilidad de MS y de la materia orgánica se asociaron a partir de P0.10 con otros 12 índices, mientras que la digestibilidad del N, la ceniza y la fibra cruda, se asociaron con otros 13, 10 y 6 índices, respectivamente. Se considera útil el uso de la matriz de correlación de Pearson como una forma de indagar por índices digestivos en cerdos alimentados con dietas de mieles de caña de azúcar. La estimación de la digestibilidad de distintos principios nutritivos a partir la determinación de la digestibilidad de MS puede implicar una considerable disminución en el costo de ejecución de pruebas convencionales de balance de materiales y digestibilidad hechas en cerdos. Este tipo de asociación debe investigarse en otros experimentos similares hechos en ganado porcino.

英语. The Pearson correlation matrix was employed to study the interdependence among 16 indices as measured in a balance trial in pigs, according to a 3x3 Latin square design (18 data per index. The digestive indices were obtained by the direct method. From the 120 evaluated interdependences, 50 were not significant (P0.10; 41.7% del total), 13 exhibited a trhed to be significant (P0.10; 10.8% del total) and 57 were significant (P0.05 as a minimum; 47.5% from total). In the five evaluated indicators of faecal digestibility DM and organic matter digestibility were linked to another 12 indices (P0.10) whereas N, ash and crude fibre digestibility were associated to other 13, 10 and 6 índices, respectively. It is considered that the use of the Pearson correlation matrix is a tool for investigating digestive indices in pigs fed diets based on sugar cane molasses. The estimation of digestibility of several nutrients from DM digestibility determination may imply a considerable decrease in cost of execution of conventional trials involving balances of material and digestibility. This type of association should be investigated in other similar experiments using pigs.
