Contribución al manejo integrado de Orobanche ramosa L. en la producción tabacalera

En la Estación Experimental del Tabaco de Cabaiguán, Sancti Spíritus se probaron diez herbicidas y la rotación del tabaco con el cultivo de boniato durante dos años con el objetivo de conocer su influencia en el control de la parásita del tabaco, Orobanche ramosa L. Se trabajó en un suelo pardo con carbonatos de textura arcillosa. Los resultados mostraron que tanto al preceder al tabaco el cultivo de boniato como la aplicación de Treflán redujo el porcentaje de plantas de tabaco infestadas por orobanche y además el herbicida disminuyó el número de ejes florales de esta parásita por planta de tabaco. El rendimiento total (principal más capaduras) y la calidad del tabaco cosechado fue superior en las áreas rotadas, por dos o más años, con boniato. Los herbicidas no hicieron un control total de los brotes de orobanche, lo que indica la necesidad de combinar varios métodos, es decir, un manejo de forma integral de lucha, para la erradicación total de esta parásita del tabaco.

In the Experimental Station of Cabaiguán, Sancti Spiritus was proven ten herbicides and the rotation of the tobacco with the sweet potato cultivation during two years with the objective of knowing its influence in the control of the parasite of the tobacco, Orobanche ramose L. One worked in a Brown soils with carbonates of loamy texture. The results showed that the Treflán reduced the percent of plants of tobacco infested by broomrape and when preceding to the tobacco the sweet potato cultivation during two years, it also diminished the number of floral axes of this parasite for plant of tobacco. The total yield (it plants main more castrations) and the quality of the harvested tobacco were superior in the rotated areas, for two or more years with sweet potato. The herbicides didn't make a total control of the broomrape buds, what indicates the necessity to use several methods, in an integral way, for the total eradication of this parasite of the tobacco.
