Comparación de dos métodos de evaluación para determinar el grado de efectividad herbicida

Para determinar el grado de efectividad del control en la prueba de productos herbicidas, se comparó el método de peso de materia seca de las malas hierbas con el método de evaluación del grado de cubrimiento, describiéndose ambos ampliamente· Las evaluaciones se realizaron paralelamente en 5 experimentos consistentes en parcelas de 16 variantes cada una. Con la ayuda de cálculos estadístico-matemáticos, como el análisis de varianza, la correlación y la regresión, se comparan y discuten los resultados obtenidos en los distintos experimentos. Usando ambos métodos, es posible establecer opinioones de igual valor con respecto a la efectividad herbicida de los productos probados. Los resultados del análisis de varianza en el método del grado de cubrimiento dieron como resultado pequeñas diferencias, demostrando ser favorables en algunos casos. La correlación y la regresión confirman que, con una alta seguridad estadística, ambos métodos de evaluación se corresponden uno a otro. Una comparación posterior del factor tiempo dio como resultado que, mediante el método del grado de cubrimiento, el tiempo y el trabajo empleados son mucho menores que en el otro método· Como conclusión, y en correspondencia con los resultados obtenidos, se recomienda dar preferencia al método del grado de cubrimiento en los experimentos en el campo, a fin de evaluar la efectividad herbicida delos productos en lotes experimentales con una gran cantidad de variantes y réplicas.

To determine the grade of effectivity of the herbicide control of the products to be proven, the method of weighing the dry matter of weeds is compared with the method of evaluation of the grade of covering, both being herewith fully described. In 5 experiments consisting of lots of 16 variants each, the evaluations were conduced in a parallel form. With the aid of mathematical-stadistic calculations, such as varianz analysis, correlation and regression, the results obtained in the experiments are compared and discussed. Through the use of both methods, it is possible to state opinions of equal value with respect to the effectivity as a herbicide of the product to be proven. The results of the varianz analysis by the method of the grade of covering, gave as a result small differences and therefore, more favorable ones. The correlations and regression confirm that with a high stadistical security, both methods of evaluations correspond to each other. A further comparison of the time factor brings as a result that through the method of the grade of covering, the time and work demanded is much less than by the other method, considering the different means of evaluation. As conclusion and corresponding with the verified results, the recomendation is made that preference may be given to the method of the grade of covering in experiments in the fields, in order to evaluate the herbicide effectivity of the products in experimental lots with a great amount of variants and replicates.
