Evaluation of Bacillus thuringiensis Ber (B. t. H) on Lymantria dispar L. in Mazandaran province.

Nowadays, the effort to control of pest and diseases is use of biological control, especially micro-organisms, instead of chemical pesticides. So a native production of Bacillus thuringiensis used and examined to control of Lymantria dispar (Lep: Lymantriidae). This design carried out in completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. Treatments were including three doses (1.2, 3 and 6 ppm) of native Bacillus thuringiensis, one dose (1.2 ppm) of Diple (international formulation) and control (water without Bacillus thuringiensis). Branches (50 cm in size) of Quercus castaneifolia selected and then different treatments sprayed with one-litter sprayer. For any replication of treatments 20 number of larval stages (2, 3 and 4 stages) separately released on leaves and then surrounded by network clothes. Number of died larvae counted and recorded in 3, 7 and 14 days after spraying. Results showed that no significant difference was observed between treatments in second larval stage. There were significant differences between treatments in third and fourth stages and Diple caused the greatest mortality on larvae. It caused %100 and over %88 larval mortality on third and fourth stages, respectively.
