This research is an effort to convert a domestic air-to-air heat pump to a heat pump using a geothermal thermal/cryogenic mesh/well source. Mainspring of this work is based on the progressive need for energy in domestic and industrial utilization. Considering the increasing energy prices in the world (specifically in the country), it is too important to optimize the usage of renewable energy resources. Therefore, in addition to follow the energy utilization standards in all of the energy consuming sections, it is necessary and indispensable to improve the performance of thermal and cryogenic systems based on their operation mechanism. Considering the above issues and using a simulating of an air-to-air heat pump and determining its capacities and parameters and changing its outdoor coil, a thermal exchange medial two-paths exchanger implemented between two coils which consist of two variate working fluids. The results of this research along with one test based on a prototype system, demonstrate a very good efficiency for these systems which are also tested and approved by the National Engineering Laboratory.
