Investigation of collected genotypes of almond for selectection promising genotypes.

In this research, in order to obtain superior almond genotypes with desirable pomological characteristics, 340 genotypes accompany with control cultivars (Sh-12 and Shekofeh) were evaluated using Augment design. In this experimental, 3 trees of 61 each genotype were planted 2,5m. in each plate of orchard .Genotypes are studied according to generative, vegetative and marketable traits. In finally, superior almond genotypes are selected. The genotypes to evaluate were transferred from nursery to orchard in three stages during 2004, 2005 and2006. In this stage (phase I), several superior genotypes out of 340 genotypes were preselected for future study. In this report, some vegetative characteristics of preselected superior genotypes has been described.
