Analysis of the College Scholastic ability on the Agricultural High School Graduates who entered into the Agricultural National Universities

The objectives of this study is firstly, to look over how well the Agricultural High School graduates who entered into the agricultural national universities are doing in their college, secondly, to analyze what they need to take a compulsory curriculum, thirdly give them the basic data to improve the college scholastic ability in their major. To achieve these purpose, I divided agricultural national universities into two, according as when they established. The one is the based national universities and the other is the other national universities. I selected seven based national universities and the other two national universities through purposive sampling. I surveyed all the Agricultural High School graduates who major agricultural related fields in the 116 college and a faculty who lecture them. I could get the questionnaire of the students in 73 departments of 8 universities and I used 336 data of the students and 64 data of faculties in final analysis in this study. The results are as follows; First, the Agricultural High School graduates were in a top class in their high school and they were in a middle class in the CSAT. Second, the students who got a good grade in high school but didn't do well in the CSAT admitted into the based national universities through the occasional special admissions. On the contrary cases, they admitted into the other national universities through the stated period general admission. Third, many of Agricultural High School graduates are having difficulties to keep up with the college curriculum because of lack of basic understanding of math, foreign language, science. And they also don't get a good mark in college. The grades of the students in the based national universities aren't as good as the students in the other national universities. Fourth, many of Agricultural High School graduates acquired the minimum of scholastic ability before they entered into the agricultural national universities but they are needed more understanding of math, english and science than anything else. Based on the results of the above research, it is suggested that how to level up the college scholastic ability of the Agricultural High School graduates who entered into the agricultural national universities and what to study more in those related subject after this study.
