The peculiarities of poverty expressions in the context of the current economical crisis in Latvia

In the poverty research there is one practically not answered question about definite and independent poverty expression forms, however, the poverty is a phenomenon that is explored quite often and widely. The poverty phenomenon has always been widely discussed. During the history development when appearing new poverty elements it was often spoken about "the new poverty" that is a position that previously poverty differed a lot from the forms of poverty expressions nowadays. Mainly there is still not answered question that is connected with relations between two typical forms of poverty: 1. Poverty that is inherited from one generation to another; 2. Poverty that is observed among people who felt themselves in economical and social safely and were suddenly struck by poverty. In Latvia the poverty problem is greatly related to a level of economical development. In spite of the fact that the last years Latvian economical growth has been comparatively fast (as CSB data indicates in 2006 the increase of Latvian gross domestic product (GDP) was 11,9, in 2007 - 10,2), however, it was shadowed by a very high inflation (in 2006 - 6,8, in 2007 - 14,1, in 2008 15,4) and an outflow of the labour. Currently the increase of inflation is not observed, on the contrary a tendency of inflation decrease is observed - in November, 2008 consumer prices even reduced for 0,4. However, currently inflation reduction does not give satisfaction because it has to be viewed in connection with Latvian economy growing cold, GDP reduction (in 2008 reduction for 4,6) and the increase of Latvian debt obligations, although the outflow of the labour is still outstanding. In Latvia the peculiarities of poverty expressions are actual that affect people who felt save before and could not imagine being in poverty. In the most cases it is related to the received credits in the good times in Latvia that now in the time of crises is unbearable press because economical and social system in the country in general and each household have experienced fast and sudden changes. The plans of recovery of the state economy predict a lot of not popular and not understandable and unacceptable actions for society, for example, the implementation of new taxes in the real estate market, the increase of unemployment and the decrease of social sphere funding, and various other actions.
