The data of the hunting trophies (antlers, tusks, and skulls) of even-toed ungulates and predators demonstrated at the regular exhibitions in Latvia, as well as the literature sources, including the official data for the population census and the kill, are analysed. The population of artiodactyla, and, accordingly, the number of trophies is found to have declined during the 1990s, while the number of trophies for wolf and lynx have increased considerably. However, the quality to trophies for both the predators and artiodactyla remains high, attesting that no population degeneration is observed. Still, the high number of predators interferes with normal game management and threatens other species. The population of predators must be controlled by more intensive hunting.
