The effect of Cr(III) coordination compounds: [K2Cr2(SO4)4].12H2O and K2[Cr(NTA)(C2O4)(H2O)].2H2O on Spirulina DNA properties has been studied. It was established that the values of DNA denaturation temperature in Spirulina, cultivated in the presence of one or another of the studied compounds, do not significantly differ from this values in Spirulina, cultivated under standard conditions; this denotes that the genom does not support modifications as regards the content of nitrogened bases and the heterogeneity degree. Also, hydroxyapatite column chromatography demonstrated that elution time in single, medium and high repetitive DNA reassociated fragments do not differ in experimental and control cultures of Spirulina; this fact shows that the studied compounds do not negatively affects the process of DNA replication.
