Growth comparaison of local and exotic strains of oyster mushrooms on different agricultural wastes

Different agricultural wastes (cotton waste, wheat straw, and paddy straw and corn stover) were investigated for cultivation of two locals and five exotic strains of Oyster mushroom for its growth comparison of pinhead, fruiting body and number of fruiting bodies formation. Pleurotus (florida) ostreatus (WC-536) an exotic and local strain Pleurotus. florida (P-17) showed best results on cotton waste containing large number of cellulose recommended the best substrate as compared to others.
