Soluble forms of nickel in several soil profiles of Lublin region [Poland]

The aim of studies was to determine the content of Ni extractable in 1 M HCl/cubic dm in soil profiles of Lublin region (Poland). The investigation concerned 8 morphological types of soils (see above). The content of nickel was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. Average concentration of dissolved forms of nickel in dry mass of soils was 1.99 mg Ni/kg. The distribution of Ni soluble form in soil profiles is a result of natural biogeochemical processes. In most types of soils the highest concentration of Ni was present in accumulative layer and was usually decreasing with depth in the profile
