The research carried out under field conditions on three clones of Riesling Italian SK-13, SK-54, and SK-61 selected at the Institute of Fruit Growing and Viticulture, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia. In the research field in Sremski Karlovci, the said clones are grown on grapevine rootstocks Teleki 5C, Cober 5BB, SO4 and 41B. The ten-year research showed the following: nitrate content in all analyzed clones of Riesling Italian on all rootstocks was within optimal range (2.25 to 2.75%). No significant differences in nitrogen content were found in different clones and rootstocks. Phosphorus assimilation in leaves was higher and more favourable only in rootstock SO4. In generally, in all clones and all other rootstocks, phosphorus assimilation was below optimal limits for grapevine (0.19 to 0.24%). In can be concluded that phosphorus supply should be increased in the coming period. Potassium uptake depended to a large extend on the clone and type of the rootstosk. Its content was higher in clone SK-54 and in rootstocks SO4. However, on the whole, potassium supply was much below the optimal range (1.20 to 1.40%). It is therefore, necessary to increase the quantity of potassium fertilizer.
