The aim of this research was control of CSFV (classical swine fever virus) presence in wild boars population in five enclosed hunting areas in Vojvodina (Serbia). As part of health control programm of wild boars, shot by hunters, the examination of the trunci deriving from 30 wild boars was performed. The laboratory testing of tissue samples deriving from 15 shot wild boars was done in regular hunting season. In order to check health status, the pathomorphological examination of 12 carcasses of dead or diseased animals shot by hunters and laboratory testing of their organs and tissue samples was performed. The control of wild boars population on the CSFV is complex and requires applying the specific plan which takes into consideration the disease characteristics, wild boar ethology, interaction which occurs between wild boars and free-roaming domestic animals and interfering human activities.
