One of the biggest challenges of the contemporary laboratory diagnostics is to select appropriate methods for fast and highly specific detection of infectious agents. In veterinary medicine nowadays, molecular tools acquire such reputation. Procedures and possibilities of molecular diagnostic and epizootiology of some viral infections are presented in this paper.
