The financial system specifics in rural areas were analyzed in this paper. The rural development (dominantly agrarian) finance and microfinance functioning were stressed out. The new institutional solution in the rural economy financing in Serbia is dedicated to commodity note and agricultural products public warehousing system introduction. In that context, the paper gives overview of rural financial system developed possibilities in our conditions throughout projected activities of warehousing and agricultural product trade. The paper gives also the common EU funds institutional rural development financing framework, thus aloud modeling public funds support for rural development of Serbia on the way of European integration.
