During 2004 and 2005, in the Srem (Serbia), on the slopes of Fruska Gora, on chernozem soil type, there was carried out the research with maize hybrid of defined purpose Colombo. The research included four levels of nitrogen (90, 140, 190 and 240 kg/ha) and four crop density (49300, 59500, 68000 and 75200 plants per hectare). Results of two years of research under these agroecological conditions showed that the increased number of grain density varies depending on the year, and the growing number of doses of nitrogen yield slightly increases to a certain extent. The influence of investigated factors on reproduction of maize in 2004, did not show any significant variation in the growing crop density or with increasing amounts of nitrogen. However, in 2005, been observed a significant variation of reproduction and maize and the increasing densities and doses of nitrogen.
