The aim of this study was to investigate regeneration ability of 10 F1 wheat hybrids and 13 parental lines. Androgenic traits, such as number of green and albino plants per 100 anthers, and proportion of green plants were studied. Four genotypes had no regenerated green plants. From 5.7 averagely regenerated plants, 2.3 were green and 3.4 were albinos. Line 9D-27-262 and the hybrid 9D-27-262/Posavka-2, had the highest frequencies of green plants, 11% and 12% respectively. The frequency of albino plants ranged from 0 to 9% in the pure lines and 0 to 10.6% in the F1 hybrids. Heterotic effects as well as additive and dominant gene actions were found to control the inheritance of all characters.
