The species found included a large number of medicinal, spice and herb plants. Eryngium serbicum, found some 20 km southwest of Cacak (Kostunici), is a local endemyte (occurring only in Serbia, at a number of locations) and a specific biological resource of international importance for the global conservation of genofund and biodiversity, The aqueous, ethanolic importance for the global extracts of 12 selected plant species of the Apiaceae family exhibited some antibacterial effect against 4 phytopathogenic bacteria. Torilis anthriscus and Daucus carota subsp. carota showed the highest antibacterial effect.
