The creation of the erosion map by the use of the satellite photos of high resolution for Krpejski Potok drainage area [Serbia]

Krpejski Potok drainage basin is a part of the Južna Morava drainage basin, and in the recent past was the strong erosion area, which endangered the international communication lines and inhabited places in the Grdelička Gorge. This paper presents the results of the intensity of erosion in 1953, 1970, and 2009. The intensity of the erosion process in 2009 was determined by the use of the satellite photos of the high resolutions. By the comparative analysis of the obtained results the positive effect of the erosion control activities performed in the basin, as well as the influence of the socio-demographic factors were determined.
