Ticks represents acarina group which includes to great number of species that are without exception parasites of reptiles, birds and mammals in stadium of larvae or as adult. They are vectors of numerous infective agents that are causers of hard diseases of animals such as babesiosis, and erlihiozis. Tick populations maintain and carry over one and ever more different infective agents. Ticks represent problem that from their epidemiological significance viewpoint manifests also as organisms whose presence disturb people during their work and rest. In Europe tha most frequent are two species Ixodes ricinus and Ixodes persulcatus. Both species have wide sprectrum of hosts. During life cycles of ticks there are three active stages: larvae, nimphae and adult, all of which are fed by blood. Larvae and nimphae are usually parasites of reptiles and small mammals, whereas adult attacks the bigger ones. They usually populate meadows, pastures and edges of woods, but always there where exist potential host. Through all year around there exist two maximum in their number in springs and autumn. Increase in ticks number is caused by increased number of homeless dogs, pets, rodents and birds, as well as lack of anthropogenic factors effect that should be directed toward organization of parks, picnic ground, areas under horticultural plants in the city and out of it.
