The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of increasing amounts of nitrogen on production traits of soybean genotypes of different maturity groups. The three-year experiments were performed on the experimental field of the Institute Tamis in Omoljica (Serbia) on the chernozem soil type. Subjects of these studies were genotypes Sava, Valjevka, Proteinka, Diva, Venera and Mima. The results showed that on this soil nitrogen did not affect the examined production traits (mass of seeds per plant, 1000 seed weight and total yield). Variations of these traits were significant for varieties and years of research.
