The fitness estimation of variety samples of honeysuckle (Lonicera) is conducted for a mechanized harvesting by the combine 'Joonas-2000' in the conditions of a steppe with kolkis of the Altay Territory. The model of variety which is suitable for the mechanized harvesting is prepared. The basic indexes of the model are: a bush height is 1.3-2 m, an effort of fruit separation is 50-150 gram, maturing simultaneity is more than 90%, skin robustness is 20-40 g/square millimeters, an average weight of fruits is 0.7-1.0 g, an amount of bark damages is less than 10 units per a bush and less than 150 per square centimeters, shaking off is more than 85%, harvest losses are less than 20%, an amount of fruits without damages is more than 85%, crop performance is more than 5000 kg/ha. The most suitable varieties for the mechanized harvesting are Berel, Galochka, Salyut. They are notable for their growth intensity and characteristics of fruits. The varieties which are differed for the least number of bark damages, are Ognennyj Opal, Berel, Mark (4 units/bush). Berel and Ognennyj Opal appeared perspective due to the low area of bark damages (94 and 97 sq. cm respectively). The high degree of a separation of fruits from branches was a characteristic of the varieties Mark (91%) and Salyut (92%). Salyut, Mark and Berel had the most of fruits without damages (99.7, 97.1 and 89.6% respectively). Ognennyj Opal and Berel had the highest crop performance (10 000 kg/ha and 7 500 kg/ha respectively). Fruit shaking off makes no less than 80% saving the excellent quality of fruits at the optimal varieties selection.
