The monitoring of mycoplasmal infection on pig farms and in wild fauna of Russia was carried out by using indirect ELISA. The seromonitoring results revealed that M. hyopneumoniae circulates on 74 out of 132 farms of the RF. M. hyopneumoniae was detected by PCR in 21% of pathological material samples from pigs with respiratory pathology from 132 pig farms in different regions of RF, 4906 samples from the imported breed pigs and 58 samples of wild boar blood. All studied cases of respiratory diseases had a form of mixed infection. It is established that breeding pigs imported to Russia in 2005-2008 from Canada, Estonia, Czech Republic and Ireland are seronegative to M. hyopneumoniae. Antibody to that type of mycoplasma was detected in animals imported from Lithuania, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, France, Spain and Denmark. It was demonstrated that M hyopneumoniae is widely spread in wild boar populations of the Central Federal District of the RF
