Quantitative risk assessment of personal noise exposure in woodworking shop

Risk assessment is fundamental for the protection of employees from risks to their health and safety arising from exposure to noise risk. Some of the noisiest working environments are found in the woodworking industry. The aim of the study was check to compliance with valid regulation in area of occupational noise for woodworking machine operator. In order to obtain the relevant information basis for this verification, daily noise exposure measurement was performed in accordance with standard STN EN ISO 9612. Results of measurement indicate that regulatory threshold has been exceeded.
