Fibreglass materials, made from synthetic resins and fibreglass reinforcement, have a wide use in building industry. High firmness and small bulk density are typical for these materials. They are resistant to corrosion and they transmit up to 90% of light and 70% of ultra violet wavelengths. In order to use fibreglass materials for constructional building elements, it is necessary to know their firmness characteristics as the limit of firmness and the modulus of elasticity. This paper deals with evaluation of the elasticity modulus and the limit of firmness of the above mentioned materials.
