According to our results it may be said that the problem of fluorine in soils in Aluminium plant surroundings is still actual. Watersoluble fluorine in soil has been determined according to analytical procedures - mandatory for soil monitoring system in Slovakia (Fiala, Kobza et al., 1999). On the basis of the latest hygienic survey (in 2006 year) it was found out that about 624 ha of agricultural soils are polluted by watersoluble fluorine yet. Development of fluorine in the most polluted area is slightly decreasing. It is in correlation to improved emission situation especially during last period but the content of vatersoluble fluorine in the most polluted soils is about 5-times over valid hygienic limit in Slovakia at present. It is in opposite of other components of environment (e.g. air) where emission situation is already sufficient in Aluminium plant surroundings.
