Study on the selection of trees for forest planting in Hoang Su Phi district, Ha Giang province

According to topographical, climatic and site conditions Hoang Su Phi district can be divided into two ecological regions with 18 microclimatic zones. Based on ecological adaptableness, socio-economic effectiveness of tree species as well as market requirements, 30 tree species have been chosen as the main cultivars for forestry of Hoang Su Phi. This is a scientific base for the development of production and other forest types in the district, ensuring environmental protection needs of the region and improving livelihood for local people.
