Potential evapotranspiration estimation for integrated water resources management in the Dong Nai river basin

Potential evapotranspiration can be directly calculated by the Penman-Monteith equation, known as the one-step method. The approach requires data on the land cover and related-vegetation parameters based on AVHRR and LDAS information, which are available in recent years. The Dong Nai river basin is selected for this study. The results in space and time shown suitability and reasonableness, furthermore the evapotranspiration rates are of active effect on hydrological model responses which ensure the integrated water resources management in the Dong Nai river basin.
