Due time adaptive consolidation control for embankment contruction study
2009
Nguyen Quang Hung
In construction procedure, especially in stopping the embankment dams of high embankment dams, the construction with high speed is to ensure the safety to resist the floods. However, the faster to dam up, the lower the pore water drip out, and thus make the ability to resist loadings if the soil weak. Therefore, determining the suitable damming up speed while maintaining the sustainment of the soil is an important work. This journal is based on the two dimention consolidation theory of Biot to find out the auto time step during the stability of the body of the embankment dams. In the procedure to control the time step of the stability, there will be some researches about the damming up speed during construction procedure which will ensure the local stability as well as the global stability.
