During the 2003-2005 period at the Experimental Station of Agriculture – Pomorie an experiment was carried out with table grape cultivars Kondarev, Druzhba and Naslada. Тhe purpose of investigation was to define optimum crop load for producing high-quality grapes under the conditions of South Black-Sea Region. In order to produce of table grapes with good quality it is necessary to apply a pruning with optimum crop load. The main parameters that determine vegetative growth and productivity of vine are directly in dependent on ratio of crop load. For the three varieties trained by system high stem double Gyuyot three variants of crop load were studied – control variant - Vk – 20 buds 1 fruit cane with 10 buds and 5 spurs with 2 buds; V1 – 24 buds 1 fruit cane with 10 buds and 7 spurs and V2 – 30 buds 2 fruit canes with 10 buds and 5 spursper vine, under no-irrigation regime of growing. The observations and measurements were done according to Methods for study and description of vine cultivars and rootstocks. The grape quality was defined according to the standard in Normative document: Naredba № 9 26.03.2002 of MAF for quality and control of fresh fruits and vegetables. It was established that under the experimental conditions optimum combination of yield and grape quality can be obtained at variant of 24 buds for all cultivars. Consumer ripeness sets latest in the most loaded variants. Sugar content is highest in the variants with 20 buds. The increase of crop load within interval from 20 to 30 buds at a concrete training system does not influence considerably the parameters percentage of fruit shoots and coefficient of fertility. More expressed is the influence of this factor on the percentage of developed buds, length of vegetative growth and ratio of mature of shoots being most expressive it affects on the variety Naslada. Extra-quality bunches under noirrigation regime can be obtained only in variants for Kondarev cultivar with main weight near to the lower limit of standard value.
