2010
Trifonova, Z., Plant Protection Institute, Kostinbrod (Bulgaria)
Biocontrol potential of the bioagents: Trichoderma spp., leaf extract of Nicotiana tbacum, the biopreparates – neem-Azal and Naf 85 were tested on the Globodera rostochiesis on potato under glasshouse conditions. All the tested formulations suppressed the nematode multiplication significantly and improved the plant growth. None of the formulations was phytotoxic even at the used concentration. The greatest increase in the yield occurred in the oxamyl application - 16.3%, followed by plant extract - 13.2% and neem-Azal - 7.3%. The nematode reproduction was reduced 86.0% and 75.5% with oxamyl - 1.5 mg/g soil and Nicotiana tabacum extract - 5 mg/ml respectively. Neem-Azal - 0.3% gives 66.6% percentage rduction over control. Trichoderma spp. and Naf 85 also significantly - P 0.05 reduced nematode population, but they were significantly less effective - 27.7% - 33.3%.
