In 2007-2009, a comparative trial with 5 Bulgarian minicarnation varieties was carried out at the Institute of Ornamental Plants – Sofia in a polyethylene greenhouse without heating. It was found that: The plants of the studied minicarnation varieties started flowering in June - July with a duration of the anthesis period of about 4 months. All varieties demonstrated high productivity with a good quality of the flowers
