The system of decision making on plant production optimization developed in the Republic of Belarus is analysed in the article. Appraisal criterion of the economic level of generality character, their different variations because of the random character of the weather and climate conditions and, as a result, yields were presented. The developed system of the information support of plant production optimization as the constituent element of the automated register of the history of fields basing on the geoinformation system (GIS) and database of the time series according to the weather conditions was given. Universal application of the automated register of the field history could form the base for more precision decision making in agricultural production, notably not only with a breakdown into a particular agricultural enterprise, but also for the planning of agricultural production at any managerial level. Open structure of the information system and possibility of the integration of systems of single agricultural businesses made it possible to unite them for the optimization of plant production within the specific region and further up to the republican level as a whole basing on the optimization of each concrete production unit
