Results of a three-year ecological strain testing of the varieties of millet in the conditions of the south-west region of the Republic of Belarus are outlined. The complex estimation of their efficiency and adaptability is made with the use of various statistics and techniques. The dependence of the yield of millet from different factors is analyzed with double-factor disperse analysis. The level of the crop yield in the ecological crop variety testing is measured. The adaptive characteristics of millet seed varieties, such as average crop capacity, crop capacity limit, yield range, coefficient of variation, stability index and selective value of the variety for the period of 2006-208 are analyzed. It is established that the most adaptive varieties for cultivation of millet on grain in the south-west region of Belarus are the varieties Bystroe and Galinka. The most sensible to the improvement of environmental conditions is the variety Dneprovskoe. The greatest selection value (on the homeostasis level) is seen in the variety Druzhba
