Results of three-year study of the efficiency of application of soil action herbicides (gezaguard (2 l/ha), zenkor (0,3 l/ha), stomp (2,5 l/ha) for the cultivation of four species of perennial cereal grasses (Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis) of Balin variety, awnless brome (Bromus inermis Leyss) of Uskhodnij variety, English bluegrass (Lolium perenne) of Pashavy variety, and meadow fescue grass (Festuca pratensis) of Zorka variety realized in the conditions of Republic of Belarus were presented. Preparations gezaguard, zenkor and stomp provided the lowering of weeds in practically all studied seedlings in the amount of 72,0, 80,5, and 70,0, respectively. Research results showed that among the studied herbicides the most effective one could be considered the preparation gezagard because its application exercised the lowest depression effect on the seedling of all studied crops except Kentucky bluegrass seedlings, the germination of which substantially lowered after herbicide application. Application of gezaguard caused the lowering of germination ability of studied crops up to 11% (in comparison with the control crops), application of zenkor – up to 28%, stomp – 31,8, respectively. All studied herbicides showed their high efficiency against weeds in seedlings of the perennial cereal grasses
