In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed the correlative interrelations between varieties of carrot (Daucus carota) of different ecologic and geographic origin, as well as F1 hybrids. Seeds were sown on sod-podzolic light loamy soil on the second decade May - the first decade of June. Research results showed the significant correlated interrelation between the height of rosette and diameter of root crop (0,59 +/- 0,29). In F1 hybrids there were marked some changes in directions of correlation connections in comparison with parental forms. There was noted a closer correlation between a diameter of a core and root crop (r=0,84 +/- 0,19; r sub (family) = 0,36 +/- 0,33), between leaf number in a rosette and diameter of a root crop (r=0,71 +/- 0,25; r sub (family) = 0,42 +/- 0,32), and also between the content of mono sugars and total sugars (r=0,66 +/- 0,27; r sub (family) = 0,36 +/- 0,33). The research results proved that in the selection and breeding work it was expedient to realize a simultaneous selection in accordance with such traits as rosette height, root crop diameter, core diameter and number of leaves per a rosette, between which there were revealed correlative relations both in the initial parental forms and in the intervarietal hybrids.
