In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were examined the traits of heterosis in the first generation hybrids of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) according to the elements of yielding capacity structure. The most frequent (32,4-38,3% of combinations) and the highest (10-20%) levels of heterosis were noticed in the trait categories of weight of grain, number of grains in the main ear and the weight of 1000 grains. Heterosis appeared discretely and was expressed depending on combination or only according to separate or several traits. There was presented a list of parental forms, which helped to obtain highly productive hybrids with crossbreeding.
